Berlin is not only the capital, it is also known as the metropolis of art and culture.
The Augstinenhof is the ideal starting point to explore Berlin on foot.
Within spitting distance there is everything you know from postcards and travel guides: the Jewish synagogue, the boulevard "Unter den Linden", the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, the famous isle of museums with the archaeological collections and the art of the 19th century and so much more.
The Auguststraße is famous it´s number of galleries where you find huge collections of present-day art.
In the evening, all you need to do is take a few steps out of the hotel and you are right in the middle of the pulsing nightlife of Berlin. Cafés, restaurants and bars -- whatever you want, on the Oranienburgerstraße and the Hackeschen Markt with his mix of food, entertainment and culture you find everything you want.
